Women's ServicesWomen's services are usually held three times a year (see Calendar) on Saturday mornings and are organized by members of the Women's Group. Our services celebrate with prayer the major events in our lives. The Group started holding Tefillah in 1999, when the daughter of a group member was bat mitzvah. Our services now often include a bat mitzvah; men often attend. We welcome all women, and children and babies as well. We are always looking for Torah readers! To reserve a Torah or Haftarah reading, or to help lead the service, contact Gail Nalven, (educator@synagogueforthearts.org) or call the synagogue at 212-966-7141 for information or to be placed on the Women's Group mailing/phone/e-mail list.
